Is the LPA registration fee included?

No. LPA registration fees are paid separately to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG). The fee is currently £92 per LPA, and you may be able to pay less or nothing depending on your circumstances.

When do I pay?

Payment is due on receipt of our invoice, before work begins. Please read our cancellation and refund policy.

What does your LPA support not include?

Our LPA support does not include arranging signatures or witnesses or sending your completed LPA to the OPG. These remain the responsibility of the person making the LPA (the donor).

Do you provide legal advice?

We provide specialist clinical information, help navigating care and practical support with completing documents. We do not provide legal representation.

Can you guarantee how my documents will be used?

We aim to help you prepare clear, accurate documents that meet legal requirements. However, we cannot guarantee how healthcare professionals will interpret or apply them or promise a particular decision or outcome.

Under the Mental Capacity Act 2005, healthcare professionals must follow an Advance Decision to Refuse Treatment (living will) if it is both valid and applicable to the treatment and situation in question. Whether it applies can depend on individual circumstances.

What does VSED support include?

Our VSED service provides information and help navigating care. It does not provide assistance to end life.

Will my consultation be recorded?

Recording a consultation is optional. Everyone taking part must agree, and recordings are stored securely in line with data protection law.

What if I need to cancel?

Read how cancellations, rearranged appointments and refunds work before you book.
